THE ROMANIAN GROUP FOR AN ALTERNATIVE HISTORY

is a bunch of young Mediaeval and Early Modern researchers promoting a dialogue between various domains. The result of this open dialogue is the publishing of books, studies, and articles on the PATZINAKIA site.

The group also tries to provide information, both written sources and material culture, concerning the Romanian area. Anyone interested in publishing his/her books, studies, or papers may present these via email at the group's address. The group members will read and edit them accordingly (please see the "How to Publish" section for more details).

This electronically edited journal is published on the web by the Romanian Group for an Alternative History and it consists of a series of articles, notes, and commentaries. Most of the articles have already been published in various other scientific journals or will be soon disseminated otherwise. Studia Patzinaka's purpose is not to compete with these journals, but to provide a wider and easier access to the information hardly accessible in print.

Cele mai multe discuţii despre abaţia de la Cârţa sunt legate de fondarea ei. Unii cercetători afirmă că mănăstirea de la Cârţa, priorie a abaţiei cisterciene de la Igriş, a fost fondată probabil între 1198 şi 1205-1206. Geza Entz susţine anul 1202. Apariţia cistercienilor la Cârţa ar putea fi legată în opinia acestuia de ctitoriile regilor arpadieni şi într-un context mai larg de favorizarea ordinului cistercienilor de către suveranii din Europa centrală...
